Driveway Host is a peer-to-peer marketplace connecting property owners ("Hosts") who have spare driveway or parking space with travelers and commuters ("Guests") seeking convenient, affordable parking.
We charge a 10% service fee, a 4% guest protection fee, and a 3% host protection fee on each booking subtotal. Insurance is mandatory on all bookings and covers guest trip liability and host property damage. Hosts receive their payout via Stripe Connect within 24 hours of guest check-in.
All Guests must complete a three-step identity verification before their first booking:
Driveway Host is a marketplace platform and is not liable for property damage, theft, or injury occurring on a listed space. Use of the platform constitutes acceptance of these terms.

By accessing or using Driveway Host, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Driveway Host is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects hosts offering parking spaces and driveways with guests seeking temporary parking. Driveway Host acts as a neutral platform and is not a party to any rental agreement between hosts and guests.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Driveway Host. By using the platform, you represent that you have the legal authority to enter into binding agreements.
Hosts are responsible for accurately describing their space, ensuring the space is safe and accessible during the booked period, complying with local laws and HOA rules regarding parking rentals, and having appropriate insurance coverage. Driveway Host is not liable for property damage or incidents during a booking.
Guests must only use the space for the purposes described in the listing, respect the host's property and rules, not leave vehicles beyond the checkout time, and be reachable during the booking period.
Driveway Host charges a 12% service fee to guests and a 3% processing fee to hosts. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Hosts receive payouts within 24 hours of guest check-in via Stripe Connect.
Full refund for cancellations made 48+ hours before check-in. 50% refund for cancellations 24–48 hours before check-in. No refund for cancellations under 24 hours before check-in. Driveway Host service fees are non-refundable.
You may not use Driveway Host for storing vehicles long-term without host consent, commercial vehicle operations, illegal activities, or circumventing the platform to pay hosts directly.
Driveway Host is provided "as is." We are not liable for property damage, theft, personal injury, or disputes between hosts and guests. Our maximum liability is limited to the transaction amount. Disputes should be filed within 24 hours of checkout via our in-app messaging system.

We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, government ID (for identity verification), vehicle information, and payment details. We also collect usage data including listings viewed, bookings made, and messages sent.
We use your information to facilitate bookings between hosts and guests, process payments via Stripe, send transactional emails (booking confirmations, receipts, messages), verify identity, improve the platform, and comply with legal obligations.
We share limited information with: Stripe (payment processing), hosts/guests as needed to complete a booking (first name and vehicle info only), and law enforcement when required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never stored on Driveway Host servers. We use Supabase with row-level security policies to protect your data.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email drivewayhost@pm.me. We will respond within 30 days. California residents have additional rights under CCPA including the right to know what data we collect and the right to opt out of data sale (we do not sell data).
We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Supabase session cookies). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Account data is retained until you delete your account. Booking records are retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance. You may request account deletion at any time.
